Spaying/Neutering

The benefits of having your pet spayed or neutered include:
  • It decreases or eliminates your pet's desire to roam the neighborhood, run away, or get into fights
  • In most cases, it stops cats and dogs from spraying urine in the house or mounting people and other pets
  • It is the most effective way to prevent birth of unwanted puppies and kittens
  • It reduces neighborhood animals from entering your yard attracted by a female pet in heat
  • In a female, spaying eliminates the chance of uterine infection and reduces the chances of mammary cancer if performed before the second heat cycle
  • In a male, neutering eliminates the chance of testicular cancer and greatly reduces the chances of prostatic infection
